(W.i.P)
Name: Tim Valeria
Age: 38
Height: 6'
Weight: 215 lbs
Race/ Gender: Human male
Abilities:
Hair: Tim's short, silky hair is honey in color.
Eyes: Tim's eyes are a matter of when viewing them, and under what conditions. When viewed under normal circumstances they are a light blue color. While using his high- tier Paladin abilities the entire eye glows golden.
Build: Tim's build is suprisingly slim considering the weight of the armor he wears almost constantly. His muscles, though obvious, don't show well even in plain clothes.
Tattoo: At the base of his neck sits the Paladin's Brand, which serves as his connection to the Holy abilities he uses. This sun shaped mark will only fade at death or once he activates the final Vigil.
Combat Style: Tim fight predominantly with a shield and sword, using the shield to both block attacks and deliver crushing blows to an enemy. Trained as a Paladin by The Knights of Kesler(The official name of The Order) since the age of 10, he can count himself amongst some of the best trained warriors in the Western World, even without using his abilities.
Sword and Shield Expertise: Tim is an extremely capable combatant with a shield and sword. To the point that he has even defeated warriors of greater caliber just from his own intuition and ability.
Shield Abilities: Well versed in using a shield for both offensive and defensive purposes.
- Shield Bash: The most basic of shield techniques. Slamming the shield on an opponent, typically knocking them flat on their arse.
-Magical Defense: A defensive technique originally developed by mage hunters, by tilting the shield slightly downward it prevents flames and acid from splashing back on the shield wielded.
-Battery charge: Pulling back into a defensive stance first, followed by a full force charge. Usually reserved for pushing through swarms of weaker enemies, when combined with Holy Surge this technique literally plows through weak foes.
Shield Backlash: A spinning bash. Building up momentum by spinning rapidly in place before smacking any foe stupid enough to get close.
Paladin abilities: These abilities come specifically from the brand on his neck.
The 3 Vigils
Vigil of Duty: The name of the brand. This mark acts not only as his source of power, but also prevents his mind or body from being influenced by demons.
Vigil of Sanctity: A release of empathetic energy. Covering an area of roughly 50 feet, the energy seeks out allies on the battle field and merges with their own energy. In addition to granting a boost in strength the merged energy blocks most forms of dark influence and weakens enemies such as the undead and demons.
Vigil of Sacrifice: A last resort move, crafted and created specifically to take on all but the most powerful of foes. "Blade with whom I have lived, blade with whom I know die, serve right and justice one last time, seek one last heart of evil, still one last life of pain, cut well old friend, and then farewell," is the activation phrase. As the last word is uttered, although specifics tend to vary from person to person, but all Paladins who make the ultimate sacrifice for good gain strength well beyond their bodies limits, a significant boost to all their holy spells, and wings made from holy fire and can use them for long-range flight. This power comes at no small price; about 50% of those who use this die from the strain it places on the body, and those who live (thus far) lose their abilities granted by the brand.
Holy Magic:
Holy Surge: Channeling ambient holy energy inward, a Paladin can easily double their offensive output for a short period of time.
Healing Hands: An incredibly low level healing spell. Healing hands pushes empathetic energy into the targets wounds, boosting the bodies own healing ability as long as contact is kept.

Healing Hands: An incredibly low level healing spell. Healing hands pushes empathetic energy into the targets wounds, boosting the bodies own healing ability as long as contact is kept.
Holy Smite: Perhaps the strongest offensive technique in a paladin's arsenal. By focusing holy energy above the battlefield, with a swift motion this ball of golden fire strikes down on the field of battle, while painful, akin to a good punch, to most it is truly effective at slaying demons and their ilk. By focusing for additionally time he can increase the number of projectiles
Divine Eyes: Tim's eyes, while he has the Vigil, can naturally see in the dark as if it were day. With a little extra energy he can also see ambient magical energy as well as spirits.
Equipment:
Kessler Sigil: The name of the unique weapon he carries. Each point of the three blades protruding from the tip are sharpened, as is the ring. Crafted from a specially crafted silver, that has been quenched in holy oil during forging. The weapon is enchanted in two ways, the metal gives off a dull glow at all times but that is a result of the actual enchantment. The weapon generated lightning, that reacts directly to his will and is tied into his own energy reserves, ranging in intensity from a simple jolt to being stronger than a lightning bolt.
Ivory Aegis: The shield that was once owned by the Knight Kesler himself, awarded to Tim for exceptional service to the Knights. The tower shield in and of itself is an exceptionally durable shield, and has withstood centuries of abuse and combat.
Keslerian Plate Mail: Worn underneath his robes, with the exception of the pauldron atop his right shoulder. This armor is standard issue amongst the Knights of Kesler. The armor, despite being made with a special enchantmenr of flame resistant making it to where the armor won't melt to their body while facing the rarer Hellfire Demons(specifically just Hellfire resistance), but other than that it is just as effective as standard Plate Mail.
Tattered Cloak: Literally just a tatters cloak, nothing to see there.
Mount: Bartholomew:
A large Breton horse, with chestnut fur and Hazel eyes. Bartholomew has often been the only friend Tim has had since leaving the Knights after helping them rebuild.
Bio:
Tim Valeria's early life and even into his adult life has shown him the worst in people. By the age of 10 he was an orphan and before the age of 30 he had seen what was supposed to be a beacon of morality fall to human nature, but despite this he endured. He is a man of intense will, if a lesser person where to Exper even half of what he has they'd have been broken several times over.
Just shortly after he had turned 10, during the early months of autumn, in a small village lacking even a wall tragedy struck. The smoke rising from the distance was the first sign of danger, his parents both rushed him to the cellar and covered it with the fallen leaves. In about 20 minutes several screams broke through the silence, along with the sounds of doors being smashed in and laughter. Time seemed to crawl as the sounds grew ever closer, until from above him a loud crashing noise rung out. The door knocked down, as bandits had swarmed the house. For 10 minutes he heard footsteps of the intruders searching, then a scream as his mother was caught followed by the familiar bellow of his father's voice, " Let go of her!" A loud bang accompanying his outburst. "You'll pay for killing one of my men," another unfamiliar voice spoke out. Within a minute of saying that, his father fell to the floor with a thud, head cut clean off with the blood leaking through to the cellar. The metallic smell clinging to the muggy air, the silence broken by " Bitch bit me!" coming from someone who sounded mental. " Kill the bitch as well, we've already captured plenty of other women in this shit village," the one from earlier said before another blood curling scream. The sound of boots marching then silence, tears rolling down the boys face with fear strangling his own screams.
He remained in that cellar for only the gods know how long. The blood had dried, but the stench remained stronger. Until he heard the sound of someone coming from up stairs, "This is the last house and still no signs of survivors," a any voice said from upstairs, clearly angered. Tim had mustered up the foolish courage to get whoever was upstairs attention, " Down hear!" "What was that sound? From the outside this house didn't have a cellar. Maximum alert we either have a spirit or a survivor! A team comb for spirits. B team tear these floor boards!" The earlier voice beckoned. "Yes sir!" A crowd said in response. Within a matter of seconds the floor above him began to crack, splinters falling as light shone through the cracks. Soon a hole about 5 feet in diameter was formed, just mere feet from him. Standing up he walked slowly to the light, body sore from being in the fetal position. " Commander! There is someone down here," a half orc said looking behind him. "Don't just stand there dumbfounded, lower the boy a rope," the elf he could only assume was this commander speaking. Soon 3 people lined up with a length of rope, " Grab on tight!" The elf spoke. He grabbed the rope loosely, tying it around his wait first before tugging to signal he was ready.
Kneeling down to Tim's height the elf speaks, " Do you know who did this?" With tears in his eyes, " Bad men." The rest was a blur, Tim being brought along with these armored guys. A trip that took almost a month before arriving at a large domed structure. " This is the Ivory Palace, Home of the Knights of Kesler, and where you will stay at least for a time," the elf says, " Unless the Knight Captain sees something in you that is." Who is the Knight Captain? " Tim asks, " And what could he possibly see in me?" His question genuine, after all with what had happened recently he was to afraid to even scream. After a short meeting with the Knight Captain he was placed within the boys quarters, where he would live when not training.
16 long years had passed, and his training was completed, being taught by Lieutenant Dwylin, the elf whom found him as a lad. His neck freshly branded, he was given leave as all Paladin-Squires are to try and find a place that their powers could be useful for. Tim had succeeded when he found Etirath, just before the time of Rudlov Sayre. He had sworn his service to the land, and had even built a..... shelter. This didn't last, when an emergency Call-to-Arms was issued calling all back to The Ivory Palace, what they were greeted to was all out war, a group of rebels led by Gwarin Cadash, a dwarven outcast, had decided that the Knights of Kesler needed reform. And by that he felt they should use their abilities to make money, not by fighting demons and monsters as some had, but rather by fighting in wars for neighboring countries. After a week, the infighting had ended with complete bloodshed. Before allowing those who lived to leave, those who were below the rank of Paladin were promoted to such a rank, if only to assist in training new recruits and rebuild. Tim, however was promoted to rank of Knight- Defender and was recognized by being awarded the Ivory Aegis due to his service.
The batch of recruits were trained quickly, learning more specialized combat suited to the skills they needed go learn. Five graduating classes across a span of 12 years, he kindly requested from the new Knight Captain ,Devin Lancet, to return for his calling, and was granted both a noble steed to carry him back to Etirath and a rather large coin purse to cover any expenses he had along the way. Within 3 months time he had once again tasted the fresh, cool air of Etirath. His journey at its final steps.
