"The night was cold, exceptionally so, but I couldn't feel it. When you wear full plate armor with a light gambeson and chainmail beneath, you don't feel much of anything. I stood with my two most trusteds, Red Valeya and The Hanged Man, Anton Losvak. You know them. Red Valeya, we call her that because in one battle she participated in she came back to camp covered in so much blood that she was initially mistaken for an enemy and taken prisoner. Anton, well, you'd only know him by his nickname. He's the guy that wears a hangman's noose about his neck as a reminder that he once escaped being hanged by snapping the rope with sheer force of his dropping body. Then he killed the men trying to hang him and almost everyone spectating the hanging that he could get his hands on before Wardens forced him to flee.
"We were out on the town, checking up on the businesses we keep in the marketplace. A few loan shops here and there, the usual. We were jumped by my rival, Esto Moren and six of his 'elite' men, Slashers. Elite, hah, second rate guards bought out by Esto after they were fired for drinking on the job, more like! Regardless, as I said, we were jumped. Esto began talking, some well rehearsed speech on how he was going to take over my business and all that, wasn't really paying attention. Didn't hear the end either, Anton jumped the nearest guy, near ripped his head off when he snapped his neck. Valeya had then next two, motherless sons had no idea what hit them til their blood was all over Valeya and their necks were cut. My sword was drawn, my beautiful flamberge, and I took on Esto. Valeya and Anton took off the other three while I sawed Esto's glaive off its ashen pole. Disarmed, I had full opportunity to kill him."
"Did you?"
"Of course not. Roberts, one day you'll realize, being the only criminal in business is not a good thing. The more focused you allow the guard's war on crime to be, the harder it is to operate. Give them a lot of criminals to hunt and suddenly, no matter how bad you are, you're never the priority. I let him go, he's probably plotting the next time he'll try to take me down, maybe he'll wise up and bring snipers, or maybe I'll kill him so someone else can take his place. His second, Rike, is said to be fairly intelligent, though that might not be good for me. Regardless, he's still out there, you should probably focus some more resources on finding him.
"After clearing the bodies of their coin and weapons, I let Valeya and Anton go so I could talk to you. Speaking of which, I must be headed back, are we done here?"
"Oh, yes, of course ma'am, so sorry to keep you. Your weapon is in the locker and you're free to leave at anytime. I'll make sure the chief hears that this was just a local snatch and grab, a coin robbery among the Slashers gone bad. Do you require anything before you go?"
"No, thank you Roberts."
"Er, one more thing, how goes my daughter and her, 'condition'?"
"She's recovering fine, my necromancers have seen to it that she has been properly reanimated. She won't age and won't heal, so watch out when she comes home. On the plus side, she won't need to eat nor sleep and will always stay your little girl. Just be sure you keep this, along with following incidents, under wraps. While you know the typical 'zombie' is not what most undead are, you'll do well to remember that we can always change your daughter should you step out of line."
"O-of course, I'll handle it. Thank you, ma'am."
"Don't."
"My name is Aleksandria Kostya, I am The Leader. My men and I run a private protection company here in Etirath, we also run a temple dedicated to Khali, the God of Nothing, rent out cleaning servants, and dabble in loans. That's how we describe it to people, what is not public is that if businesses don't pay us protection fees then we break their windows of their owner's bedrooms and kidnap their children. The temple possesses a vast network of underground tunnels that serve as a sanctuary for criminals, necromancers, and all manner of men and women who do everything and anything that might be frowned upon. I also buy and sell people, slavery is so easy. Lastly, loans, a new business. Not everyone has a gambling addiction, but enough people do that its a fairly lucrative business.
"About me? I'm 5'6, 32 years of age. When I was born, my family was ritually sacrificed my the priestesses of Khali to strengthen my soul. A prodigy, I exceeded expectations, bound spirits, and resisted demon possession, becoming an official priestess at 16. Immediately, I left the priestess order to become a squire at age 17, I killed my Knight and was knighted by the order of Khali at 20, began my criminal enterprise soon after when I met Red Valeya, became High Priestess of Sarvhita in the temple of Khali at 28, been running my own large section of the criminal underworld ever since. Other criminals, they deal in illegal items, illegal animals, ect. I deal in people, I offer sanctuary, I sell people when needed, I pay the guards to work for me, and I make sure people pay me not to hurt them. It's all rather simple.
"I have long red hair, sea blue eyes, and I enjoy long walks on the beach after smoking by a fire with good food and good friends. I also enjoy torture and watching a full grown man curse everyone he loves and give up his wife, children, and livelihood in exchange for his own life, knowing I'll take it all and let him go to live with the guilt. I am well versed in honorable fighting, utilizing a flamberge and full plate to fight my opponents. I also tend to kick dirt into a man's eyes and cut his throat open with a boot knife so I don't have to get my flamberge dirty.
"I also practice black magic, as per is required by all High Priestesses of Khali. I manipulate forces beyond the grave to my bidding, calling lost souls to devour my enemies. I haven't in almost a decade, however, done anything of the sort in any major form except to practice in secret. If it was made public that I was a necromancer of some repute then my criminal enterprise would go down the drain. You have nothing to fear from me in that regard. If anything, I'd fear pissing me off.
"I do not forgive, I do not forget, so don't piss me off."
"Good morning, ma'am, do you know why you're here?"
"To give my testimony as to the events that occurred in the marketplace last night, I know. This isn't my first time here, Roberts."
"Yes ma'am, so sorry. Well, you see, there's a bit of confusion as to how everything went down, so why don't you tell us how it all happened?"
"Certainly."

My name is Aleksandria Kostya, and after you hear this, you might think me a very bad person. You should.
