Name: Odette Isabelle Lincolnshire
Actual Age: 102
Physical Age: 19
Gender: Female
Race: Elf
Class: Pygmy
Height: 4',2"
Weight: 90lbs. 14oz.
Rank: Citizen
Occupation: N/A
Formal Appearance:
She has platinum-blonde hair that is more often than not put into a bun atop her head. She has blue-gray eyes. She stands at 4'2" without heels, but because she is often in heels, she stands at about 4'5", maybe 4'7". She weighs in at roughly 90 pounds, unless she is wearing one of her heavier dresses; then her weight gains five or six pounds to stop around 99, 105 pounds.. She has no tattoos or markings (at least, none that she'll willingly show). She technically has a small star tattoo (obviously home-made) on the interior of her left wrist; it's such a small tattoo it can be missed from a simple first look at her; the tattoo was created using a blood-red color -- and some rumor that the ink itself was blood. Express use of said corset has cinched her waist, giving her an 'hour glass' body-type.
Her formal-esque wear consists of multiple layers. Her layers consist of:
- Stockings that reach to the knee.
- A whale-boned corset.
- A flexible steel cage beneath her skirts.
- A camisole; to keep the dress from itching and bothering her.
- An intricate designed petticoat to show off from the low-cut top of the dress.
- Gloves; because you always need those. She does not, however, wear a bonnet.
Casual Wear:
Her casual-wear is very rarely seen. Her casual wear consists of all-male clothing -- loose shirts, jerkins or pants, and heeled boots. When she is dressing like a man she binds her chest and pulls her hair back into a tight bun atop her head. She will usually wear a few layers of clothing to hide her hourglass figure.
Her casual wear consists of:
- Men's dress shirts -- varying colors and types.
- Men's dress pants -- varying colors and types.
- She pulls her hair back into either a ponytail or a bun; very tight.
- She carries a walking-stick sword. Always polished.
- She wears heeled boots to make herself seem taller.
- She binds her chest and wears an extra layer of clothing.
General Appearance Stats:- Height without heels: 4'2
- Height with heels: Roughly 4'5, maybe 4'7.
- Weight: 90 pounds.
- Physique: Slender, altered by corset-wear -- 'hour glass' shape.
- Eye Color: Blue-gray.
- Hair Color: Platinum-blonde.
- Skin Tone: Pale ivory.
- Tattoos/Brandings: One on her wrist interior; a small, home-made red star.
Combat Credentials
Odette never wears any visible weapons. Her weapons are small -- throwing knives, sheathed around her thighs in leather. When she is impersonating a man, she carries a sword-cane; a sleek black walking stick that, if the handle is twisted correctly, falls away to reveal a thin sword. She is adept in auramancy -- specifically focusing on vampirism and glamour. She uses both of these things often in battle -- her glamour to give herself that 'silver-tongue' that allows her to try and talk down assailants, or to simply talk herself out of a fight. The auramancy vampirism is used to give her 'eternal youth', to keep her young -- and alive; though it has driven her insane from use. Her actual fighting style -- when she is forced to fight -- is long-range. She will not get near her opponent if she does not need too. She is quick; and will often use her 'silver-tongue' to get inside someone's head; to convince them to attack themselves instead of her. The only time she will be close-ranged with an opponent is if she is impersonating a man and only has her cane-stick on her. She does not wear any sort of armor apart from the two types of outfits (formal-wear or her informal wear); though one may say that her leather bindings when she binds her chest to pretend to be a man count as armor -- others may say her corset could be considered a type of armor.
Background:
Odette hails from a kingdom, now extinct, that was called Viaraen. Viaraen was a small island, ruled by an elvish family -- her family. When she was four, she was betrothed to the son of a neighboring elvish clan; an attempt to make peace. However, when Odette turned sixteen, and was sent to her betrothed's clan for the summer, she fled -- therefore breaking the fragile peace that the Lincolnshire family had with the Clan of Fintley. The Lincolnshire Clan was unable to find their only legitimate daughter; and therefore the kingdom of Viaraen was in dispute -- any of the four clans could try to take the throne. Lincolnshire, Fintley, Havings, or Grimmetts. And they did. War broke the peace -- and blood was shed.
Within twenty years, still with no sign of the princess Odette, Viaraen was destroyed. The people had disbanded; the monarchy was gone -- Clans were mashed into dust. The 'Old Laws' that had once kept the peace were disregarded... and slowly, people found new homes. Many came to Etirath; however. Viaraen was wiped from the books -- no stories were told; none but the one about the woman who started it all.
The Story of the Crossdressing Pygmy Elf: "You have no choice in the matter, Princess. It has been how your family has kept the peace, for years." The pale-haired girl shot a glance over her shoulder, sighing. "How else do you think you gained the ability of auramancy? Your father! He looks, why... he looks as though he is simply in his thirties -- not his sixties. And bless, your mother looks so young!" The woman continued to try and help her young mistress deal with the fact she was going to have to go and meet the Fintley boy.
It did not seem to be helping, though. The maid knew her young mistress was up to something, when the girl packed some of the men's clothing that she wore -- normally to go riding, or to go among the peasants without being known for who she was -- and took them with her. The girl was always a wonder; she was born at such an early gestational period -- they feared she would not live; but when she did... she was rejoiced by all four clans.
Her father thought she would take to her betrothed -- he thought she was the refined princess he wanted her to be... and then she turned into a horrible, horrible being -- a black sheep; the destroyer of Viaraen; the King's hopes were dashed when he heard the news that she had fled in the night. At first, he worried about her -- that perhaps the Fintley boy had tried to do something she did not like, and then, he hated her.
Because by the time he figured out the boy had not even seen her yet, as she had arrived late in the night, war was at his front door. Knocking, screaming -- bloodcurdling screams of the citizens as they were slaughtered; tortured, all to get him to step aside. And he did, for his people, he stepped aside. But he was not the one they wanted. Cries for the princess -- cries for her was all that was heard that first night.
Her mother died the night the real fight began. The Queen had simply tried to calm the masses; to assure the Clans that her daughter would return -- and some foolish ingrate threw a spear... threw it right through her heart. Her death was quick, but bloody. Odette had not fled the kingdom -- no, she had lived on the streets; amongst the blood and gore -- the people that hated her... and she had a front row seat for her mother's death. All in disguise, of course.
That image stayed with Odette forever -- and she fled the island then. As the years passed she learned of Viaraen's fall. On one ship she sailed on, she heard the story -- from a bard; a woman named Vasilisa Rose; who had once been her maid -- that same maid. The woman was old, grey and dying -- Odette could tell that much. Before she was able to leave the ship, and go to the shore, the woman found her and whispered, "Princess. You've been a man for far too long now."
As the years drew on, Odette eventually began to use her auramancy to maintain her beauty; her first victim was Vasilisa. The elderly woman held enough substance to sustain her beauty; her youth. She was to be forever haunted by Vasilisa's soul, though she was able to ignore the one... lonely voice.
Eventually she was given a nickname, in one kingdom -- one town -- she was known as the 'Venomous Killer'. She was known as this after her third or fourth kill; where she lost her mind due to the voices that now roamed rampant in her head. Her kills were left with marks in their necks -- as if she had tried to bite into their flesh; which in truth, she had not done. She had simply taken a small penknife, and punctured their carotid; so that they would be devoid of blood.
By the time she had made it to Etirath, Odette had so many voices fighting for her attention, she developed the inability to know her own thoughts -- the voices led her now; and not all of them were nice. Relations:

Note: Please take note that her current family is open for additions. Her mother is deceased, but while her mother was alive, her father had affair-upon-affair. If you would be interesting in tying a character to Odette by birth, please just PM me. :3 Her father did not discriminate against races -- though he, himself, is an Elf -- as is her mother. Her mother most likely has other children as well.
