A beautiful clear sunny day graced the market while a gentle breeze playfully teased the hair and clothes of the many bodies shuffling around. Among the many in the market was one in particular who did not follow the usual flow, but instead wandered to whatever caught their interest. This person's long green hair was dancing in the wind as she cheerfully hopped from one stall to the next, inspecting the various wares with innocent curiosity. Her green eyes were quite literally glowing as she stared wide-eyed at the various items before her and darted between the various sources of sound.
It wasn't until the sound of heavy footsteps clanging on the cobbled streets broke her cheer. Upon hearing the sound she shot up straight and turned towards the source, fear and confusion quickly clouding her features. The polished armors of the guards patrolling the market brought fearful memories to her mind as she began to look for a path to get further away. Slowly but surly she began to pace in the opposite direction of the guards, constantly looking over her shoulder to ensure their distance. As she moved through the crowds her usual grace was partially traded for a rushed exit causing her long hair and leaf dress to flutter and sway with every movement while her bare feet clapped against the ground. Soon after she tucked into an alleyway, she crouched down and held her head.
While breathing raggedly Amalynn began muttering in disbelief, "Why...why are their beings covered with the burning stone?! Father spoke of it before, but never did he mention that there were beings covered by it!" Her mind raced as she thought back through the various stories and tried to figure out what to do next.
