There were a few looks, a couple stares, as he paced to the man that washed a glass with a grey rag. Most didn't pay the man much attention though. He assumed that there must be stranger creatures than himself within the heart of this kingdom. He placed both hands on the resined wood that made up the bartop. When the keeper acknowledged his existence he lifted his left palm and began leaning on his right elbow. Where his left hand had been, now rested a small hill of gold pieces. He spoke for the first time in months.
"I'll need a bed, and some water, please."
The keeper nodded, placed the glass in a rack behind him that held many identical brethren, and began running water from a great wooden cask into a differently sized glass he obtained from a hidden location beneath his side of the bar.
"Careful." Syxx warned
"What?" The Monk's comments distracted the keeper and stole his gaze from the filling pint. Water dribbled onto the preoccupied keeper's fingers. The wet sensation jerked his attention to the task at hand, and thusly in overcompensation he spilt the liquid over his hand onto the floor.
"My apologies, sir."
"S'all righ', floor needed mopp'd nyways. I'll get yer key." The keeper slid the glass down the table until it collided perfectly in Syxx's grasp. He then turned to study the crude records he kept for his vacancy.
A refreshing drink was appreciated beyond celestial heights. The liquid, although not exactly cold, was invigorating. As if expecting something, he himself turned, with glass in hand, around.

(Right here, fam. You ain't gon have to wait till Turkey day.)
Another day, another bounty to hunt down.
Upon arriving in Etirath, Snakha first order of business had been to go straight to the center of the town to find some bounties to claim. There, he saw that most of the bounty posters the town were of small, low-paying bounties, definitely not something worth his time and effort. A couple of cattle rustlers here, a bunch of petty thieves there, so on and so forth. That was, of course, until he came upon a poster asking for the capture or kill of a man called Bendrift Luto as well as one asking for information regarding the death of one called Arthur Midas. Figuring he'd have better luck at finding an actual wanted man rather than some obscure information regarding someone’s murder, Snakha examined the poster for Luto. A man wanted for robbery, Luto was a rather amateurish thief who had so far evaded the guards through mostly sheer luck. Unfortunately for him, he apparently had been robbing the wrong type of people. Now, these people were asking for his head and they were willing to pay quite a hefty sum for anyone who would be able to do so. Obviously, Snakha did not hesitate one bit and immediately took the bounty poster along with him.
Usually, Snakha would go and track his targets as soon as possible before their tracks would go cold, but at that moment he thought it'd be a better idea to head towards the nearest Inn to grab a drink or two and maybe even sleep there for a night before hunting down his bounty. Travelling from Nuria to Etirath took him quite a while and he'd really prefer sleeping on a bed as opposed to sleeping in the woods again. He was sure his wargs wouldn't mind him being gone for a while. He's trained them enough to know that they won't go around slaughtering everyone who would go near them. Besides, the woods on the outskirts of Etirath were rarely visited, so he was sure his beloved wargs wouldn’t stir up any trouble there on their own.
As he approached the Inn, he could hear people drinking and sharing stories. Maybe this Luto person could be inside as well, he thought. Types like him doubtless had many interesting stories to tell. Making sure his mask was still covering his face, Snakha walked inside. As expected, quite a few conversations stopped when he entered, and several heads turned towards him. Some even instinctively put their hands on their weapons, expecting trouble. A perfectly logical reaction to an individual like Snakha walking inside, of course. Whilst most of the Inn's patrons were looking at him, Snakha also took the time to observe them carefully, hoping to spot Luto. Unfortunately, no one there looked even remotely like Luto. After a few uncomfortable moments, the conversations resumed at a rather muted volume and the few who were ready to draw their weapons relaxed and went back to their business.
Approaching the bar, Snakha noticed the strange looking bald man looking towards him but paid no attention to him. Instead, he placed several gold coins on the bar top to get the attention of the barkeep.
"Drink. Strong." Snakha muttered, his voice low and rough.
Whilst waiting for his drink, Snakha turned his towards the bald man near him and pulled out the bounty poster from his belt, showing it to the man.
"You. Seen. Man?" he asked.

Syxx turned in time to witness Snakha enter. The patrons reacted wary than resumed their cordial demeanor. The crowd was, if nothing else, unbigoted. They allowed this creature to drink from the same casks as themselves. An honorable feat.
As he walked towards the bar, towards Syxx, their eyes briefly locked. Celestial bodies shown bright, as if projected from Snakha'a eyes. The lights consumed the room and finalized their positioning. Syxx saw a villain, a cave, the woods, a very hungry looking Warg who stared at Syxx with cruel intent.
Within the same breath it was gone. The constellations disappeared and took their secrets with them, but Syxx understood. He silently waited to answer the inevitable question that would bind him once more to another's fate.
"You see man?" The words fell like rain in a desert, instantly soaked up.
"Yes." He took a small drink of his water, and pointed a finger at the picture. "This man is a coward. He hides in the black caverns outside of the kingdom."

Black Caverns?
There were certainly a lot of caverns outside of Etirath, so it was not too surprising to hear that Luto could be hiding in one such place. Outlaws and the likes were known to be quite fond of hiding in the woods, so a cavern inside the woods certainly would be one of the best place a wanted man could choose to hide in. That is, of course, if the man wasn't just lying to get Snakha away from him. Usually, Snakha would take these kinds of tips with a grain of salt, yet something about this man tells Snakha that he wasn't lying to get away from him.
Before Snakha could open his mouth to further question the man, the barkeep placed his drink on the bar top. Thinking that his thirst is far more important than some random information that could probably just be a blatant lie, he focused his attention on his drink. Taking off his helmet, he placed it on the bar top, revealing his burnt, broken and scarred face to the patrons of the bar. The barkeep in particular was rather taken aback at the sight, but he somehow refrained from saying anything.
Snakha stared at his drink for a moment before he downed half of it in one swig. Though a rather strong drink, it seemingly had no effect on the hobgoblin and he quickly finished it with another quick swig. Afterwards, he handed the glass back to the barkeep, motioning for more. At this, the barkeep almost immediately took the glass and went to work refilling it.
Then, as he waited for the barkeep to do his job, Snakha pulled out a couple more coins from his pockets and placed it on the bar top. With that out of the way, he then turned his attention back on the man who he had asked about Luto earlier. "Black. Cave?" he asked. "How. You. Know?"
Who knows, if the man wasn't lying, it would save Snakha the trouble of tracking down his bounty...

"Because, I'm going with you." Syxx's eyes reflected Snakha's own. Not once did they flicker to his blemish.
"You can't go alone, even with your Wargs. Those caverns are deep. They are familiar, only to those who inhabit them. You can keep the reward, but I won't leave his capture to chance. Do you understand?"
The monk wasn't a mind reader, so he wasn't exactly sure how much actually got through to the beast. Common sense would suggest that anybody who takes something so involved, as bounty hunting is, as a profession, then they must have some sharpness to their wit. A half hearted prayer for understanding rolled through his mind similar to the beads he rolled between his fingers.
The bar was in full swing when a dainty blonde, who was sporting a skimpy uniform, began serving drinks. Her rounds drew the full attention of the hall, save the monk and beast.
With this diversion he places his half empty glass down. The key had been deposited where the coins once were. Etched into the crude brass ingot was the barely legible number 6. The monk stowed the key in with his few belongings and turned to exit.
"I'll find you before you leave to search for Luto. Prepare well. I don't know what we will be up against." With that he strolled away, unnoticed as the waitress defined a new meaning to the term gratuity.
