The community bathhouse sits at the edge of the Middle District, close enough for the wealthy to still feel privileged while the average citizen can feel pampered. A large narrow pool stretches across the premises to accommodate the wealth of people that use its cleansing waters, shallow around the edge and deeper near the center. Thin reams of cloth hang lazily from the ceiling to cast colored shadows across the marble floors, changing every now and then to promote a season or specific holiday. There is only one door and it is always closed. It leads to the room where the burners work, stoking the fires and coals that keep the water heated day and night for the public to enjoy. There is no fee to use the community bathhouse, much to the appreciation of the citizens. However, there are more than a few patrons from the Upper District who would use their station to impose one upon the commoners - some for fun, others for the profit. If this is witnesses please report it to nearest guard.
It's said that bathing in the house has a restorative property unlike anything else - that because it's so close to the source, Sympati's Well, soaking in it is almost like being a Divine yourself. Of course that's not really true. Probably.
Oh. Those creatures? They're called vodaflies. Nobody knows exactly where they came from, but guess that they live in the higher parts of the surrounding mountains, nesting like strange birds. Some think they came from griffins; the product of a snow leopard and the giant flying beast. None of the speculations have been confirmed. What is known? They adore water - which may explain why they love to sneak swims in the pool when no one is looking. Don't worry, though. Completely harmless..
